AEVERL announced the introduction of the new LifeForce QMA Series
Isokinetic testing and Evaluation System.
Quantitative Muscle Testing has come of age.
All muscles or muscle groups that can be isolated may be tested,
using both Hand Held and Fixed Myometry instruments.
Additional instruments may also be utilized
to acquire the strength and fatigue efforts of pinch grip (tip, key
and palmar) and hand grip (five positions).
The back slope of any effort may also be acquired, for use in
the diagnosis or confirmation of Myotonia or other debilitating
diseases. Unique
instruments are available or may be designed for your unusual
applications; such as, tongue strength – to assess and document
Bulbar paralysis.
Measurement accuracy is better than +0.25% full scale for
most instruments.
Units of measurement and report documentation may be selected in
lbf, kg or N.
Documentation of your patients’ efforts may be completed and
automatically produced in professionally designed reports.
The reports utilize macros to automatically populate the
fields of the requested report with the patient header and all of
the testing data from the visit selected.
An area is reserved for your comments, observations and
evaluation.
Reports may be generated that compare your patients’ visit to a
previous or baseline visit, and include the measured effort and the
percentage change of each muscle tested.
Calculations may also be made comparing your patients’
efforts to those of a theoretical
Normal
-based on age, gender and BMI.
Normal predictive calculations are based on publications by
Mathiowetz, Bohannon, etc.

AEVERL registers new LifeForce QMA
Series Isokinetic Testing and Evaluation System. with the FDA
AEVERL has registered the
new LifeForce QMA Series
Isokinetic Testing and Evaluation System
with
the Food & Drug Administration and will market it as a Class II
medical Device. Diagnosis may be
confirmed, physical therapy may be documented, and Functional Capacity
Examinations - FCE may be objectively produced.
Testing results are available instantly, minimizing the transcription
of information. Calculations
available within the strength testing software include; maximum effort, mean
of efforts, rise time, sustained time and coefficient of effort.
Calculations available within the Fatigue modules include maximum
effort, mean of efforts and area under the curve, for multiple and definable
areas of evaluation. All data is
available in summary, raw data, acquired data points and plotted format, and
exportable to MS Excel or other evaluating applications.
Testing and resultant criteria, including muscles to test, testing
order, etc. are easily setup by you.
A complete user guide and on-line technical assistance provide
comprehensive support that you expect.
The LifeForce QMA Series Isokinetic Testing and Evaluation System is a
tool that will confirm your diagnosis, document your patients’ physical
therapy and provide objective substantiation to your Functional Capacity
Examinations.
